Application forms
The Federal Ministry of the Interior provides application forms.
There are forms for:
- citizens from an EEA country and Switzerland,
- their family members or
- people from other countries. These are called third-country nationals.
The forms are also available in English.
For the forms there are explanations in simple language.
These explanations will help you,
better understand the form.
At the end of each statement you will find a list,
which documents you must submit with the application.
The explanations in plain language are for information purposes only.
Only the legal text is legally valid.
The declarations in plain language do not give rise to any legal claims.
Some residence authorities offer their own application forms on their website.
You don't have to use a specific form.
However, a form can make it easier to process your application.
Under Point F you will find a power of attorney.
With a power of attorney, another person can represent you in your proceedings.
For example, this person may assist you in the procedure and make binding decisions on your behalf.
