About the Journal

The quarterly "SIAK-Journal - Journal for Police Science and Practice" provides a forum for scientific analysis and discussion in the fields of policing and security. Our aim is to offer high-quality content to police officials, academic researchers and to other stakeholder groups. The articles address a broad range of police and policing-related topics and thus can include perspectives from any academic discipline. With approx. 2,000 copies per issue the SIAK-Journal is the leading scientific journal in the realm of police science in Austria. Every issue comprises eight articles, including articles in English, and several reviews of newly-published books. In order to stay up-to-date we value the exchange of knowledge and ideas through contact and cooperation with other scientific journals. By publishing the so called "International Edition" once a year, we intend to attract an even wider readership.
